Esplanart

Installed as part of the Esplanart Exhibition, this sculpture is called Japun Miju (Eel Country). This piece represents Wayne’s cultural ties to the land, showing the importance of freshwater rivers and lakes as a major food source for his grandparents people, of both the Yidinji and Ngadjon Tribes, a tradition that continues today with him and his parents.

I have used Aboriginal Steel Art’s work as corporate gifts for visiting international media and travel trade over the past 12 months. The joy of our international visitors receiving an indigenous handmade metal native animal is something they value highly. The interest in Australia’s Indigenous culture is high on the list for most international visitors to Australia. The size of the small handmade gift allows for easy transportation home.
